Am I correct in assuming that, IF higher seed wins every game, then quarterfinals will be

1/8 - 2/7 - 3/6 - 4/5

and semifinals will be

1/4 - 2/3?

Is there any exception I should know about? I'm trying to gauge the path of someone like Zverev to winning this tournament. So if he is 6, he will have to play 3 in the quarters (Nadal), then 2 in the semi and then 1 in the final?

I looked up the 2018 and 2019 FO men's singles. I'm quite certain that in your scenario one seed plays eight seed in the 1/4 finals and four seed in the 1/2, followed obviously by the two seed in the final.
