I'm leaning to Robby Ginepri (-150) to win over Marat Safin. The only thing that I worry about Ginepri is his physical ability. I hope that he still has his legs when playing vs. Safin. What's is you thought on this???
Does Robby Ginepri still have legs for Marat Safin???

#2In most cases, I give the opponent of a previous tournament winner who travels an edge - if he has some talent. And this would be a great spot for a player with Safin's pedigree. However, here you've got a lot of mitigating factors. #1 - Safin appears to have mailed it in. This is supposed to be his farewell tour and he appears to be content to show up, get his ass kicked and grab his paycheck in each tournament. He hasn't made it past the 3rd round since the Australian Open and has been beaten in the opening round several times in the rest of his 2009 season. #2 - This match isn't on the first day of the tournament, so Ginepri gets some extra rest. Still, at the end of the day for me - this one screams out avoid me. I will say if you want Ginepri, get him now. His price is going to be pounded and I wouldn't be surprised to see him close at somewhere near -200.Comment -

#4Safin has given up on tennis. This tourny being in LA means there will be plenty of celebrities to hang out with and plenty of parties to attend. and you cant mingle with important people if your stuck playing in an unimportant tennis tournament. international party boy will take the week off.Comment -

#9Just shows you Ginepri didn't beat shit last week in Indy. Safin wins in 3. Even Sampras beat Safin. Seriously. What a joke.Comment -

#11Could this be Safin's shot?
Gulbis gulps some serious ding-dong. Mentally, that dude is in the tanker. If Safin tries, then Gulbis gets roasted....
just can't trust that bitch SafinComment -

#12Gulbis vs. Safin has got to be one of the worst matches in the past year to try to cap. These are usually the matches where Safin lays a turd. People will think he's bound to go on a run - believing the Ginepri win was some sort of momentum builder - just shows you how far Safin has fallen and why you should pretty much avoid betting on him, unless you take him at a nice dog price in a set-up similar to the Ginepri match. Laying chalk on Safin is like playing Russian Roulette with a scud missile pointing up your ass. Betting Gulbis is nearly as painful with his form this year.Comment
