How do you find your picks?
Hello. I am interested in knowing, how you find your tennis picks, and if you have something you always check for prior of a bet?

I have made a short list of things, that can affect my picks - feel free to add more or tell me, if some of them are irrelevant

    • Playing on favourite surface
    • Who has the better serve
    • Who is the better returner
    • Playing in front of home crowd
    • Recent results
    • Watching a solid performance in the latest match
    • Insider information
    • Affected by posts on this forum
    • Player posting motivational stuff about a tournament on social media
    • Defending points from same tourney last year
    • Height and weight
    • Odds dropping or the opposite

I usually decide on what surface suits each player more, h2h results, defending the points and mostly from recent form. I never looked at odds before making a bet.

of course I look for who is the better server and returner, but I mostly bet WTA tennis, so here serve doesn't have a big impact as in ATP (with few exceptions).

Anyway, you should also consider about types of player. is it counter pouncher? is it a fighter? how strong is he/she mentaly?

but that's just how I look at the tennis betting. Average tipser

Head to head is important. Motivation factor too (defending points or not), surfaces matter but much less than before. More and more players can play on all surfaces.
