Far too easy to second guess yourself after the fact. Had she won/made the final, everyone would have then been saying that those who doubted her were over emphasizing her recent minor slump, not giving her enough credit for winning two majors in a row.

Perhaps the only real conclusion that anyone can draw about women's tennis, at least based on recent majors, is that there is only one thing you can really be sure of: and that's that there is nothing you can be sure of!

Lol I'm in second right now? Once Pliskova (who I picked to win it all) went out, I gave up on this, figured focus rooting energy on men's bracket where most of my top picks were still in! Even though I don't think I can win it all, I guess I still have a real chance to finish in the money so that's something!

I suppose this is a case where although nearly all my picks are out, pretty much everyone else in the contest is in the same boat with almost all of the top seeds out - in essence maybe I'm just sucking a bit less than all others which is why I'm at where I am! But hey whatever works!

I have a chance at a top 3 finish if Serena plays and beats Halep for the title. The fact that I’m even in the top 10 is amazing since I know very little about tennis and didn’t pick too many underdogs.

3rd place! First time I think I've cashed in the women's bracket - sure will take that, especially since I didn't pick the winner and it's pretty hard to finish that near the top without doing so. Hope I can keep this up, eventually will win one of these too!
