How often does Set 2 momentum carry into S3?

It seems like the set 1 winner wins set 3 more often than set 2 winner, even though it doesn't make any sense. A guy can go 6:1 in the second set and then 1:6 in the third as if he instantly lost all ability to play. Is momentum overrated? Seems like it has no effect on S3 whatsoever.

It's match-up specific. But it happens more when the better player loses the first set and comes out to play in the second set.
