#989Originally posted by ConquerorThe line movement on the Giraldo match suggests he wins in straight sets at +296. The ML went down to +125 at Bookmaker.
+200...
however i know the books usually get a grip on these players and forsee a better outcome as the tourney moves along. I believe the weather and heavy air might have something to do with the line movement. Johnson likes faster clay... obviously he was horse crap when it slowed down. Giraldo will like it slower, atleast slower than it has beenComment -

#990You won't believe this (or you probably will bc we've all been there) but I finally got my bad cooler on tennis in DraftKings. Had my most prized lineup that I played a $5k H2H and entered the $300 contest, winner takes 20k.
Everyone had Zverev of course, I did not. I chose Johnson and when Zverev went down I was looking at 1st place and 10k on the H2H. My biggest play to date after building a nice bankroll. Had Errani, Pliskova, Querry, Tipsarevic, etc. Everyone won in straight sets and it comes down to Johnson. Bought some beer, turned the match on, and was grinning ear to ear as i was up on the head to head by 12 points once the match started (you get 30 points for a match start and go from there).
All I needed was Johnson to at least win a set and I'd take the 20k contest + 10k from the head to head. Well, what happened you ask? He loses in straight sets and finishes the night with 14 fantasy points.
I double up the $300 bc the lineup was unbelievable and lose the H2H. ($4700) on the day when I had even odds for Johnson to take a set to win $25k.
Boy oh boy I will never forget this match.
BTW - I'll be writing that post soon. If you would have made a lineup on dog picks today you would have won it all. Thing is, you have $50k fantasy dollars to build a team. Would be ballsy to only use around $30k of the $50k, but with the dogs barking it would have worked.
This is where fantasy hurts bc you can't roster a heavy heavy dog in a lineup unless you truly think they are going to win and leave all the usable salary on the table.
BOL, write up soon to come I'm just hurting so bad. Frankly, I should have found a way to put 15k on Galan ML. No joke, if Johnson wins I win 25k, so no idea why I don't hedge in wagering vs daily fantasy. It's a good strategy but it only happened bc Johnson was so late and Zverev had a chance to finish way early to know the outcomes. Rare time for it to happen, but even laying 5k on Galan if I could find a place to do it, gives me a $7k gain or $20k gain. I mean Johnson just had to win a set but lesson learned. Anything can happen.
Still can't process anything right now 😒Comment -

#995Giraldo forced some difficult shots instead of playing out the rally with Thompson when he had the chance to finish him.
He had better success when he was patient. Match got away from him when he decided to do to much in my opinion.
Thompson didn’t look very good or comfortable at all throughout the whole match.Comment -

#997I’m a little puzzled as to why Novak is a substantial favourite over Sugita. He was slightly more of a favourite over Uchida last match and Uchida is hot trash. Is Sugita just that much worse?
Can’t really trust Novak at the moment in my opinion.Comment -

Odds make you want to take the dog especially where they are playing. Oddsmakers giving Novak a lot of respect here for a reason.Comment -
