I'll be honest as pathetic as the cupcake draw known as the Women's draw can be there are a number of pretty 'hot' in form players at the moment...

Collins/Pavy have been looking impressive.

Kvitova has been knocking everyone over like they're bowling pins and Barty has been playing well

Osaka is backing up her US Open title win

Pliskova has always been dangerous

Always feel like saying this could be Madison Keys' year this year but she always seems to fall short at the business end. Definately one of the sleepers on hardcourts when her game is on

Yeah Serena's serve has dropped a tad in the second set but usually the same tactic applies, you move her around and stop her from hitting winners in her hitting zone and you win. Haleps a fighter, always liked her even though she can be fragile at times.
Halep also looks a lot more confident in her serve, held a long one in that second set
Plus shes had a bit of a test, Kanepi isn't a pushover. Serena has had a cupcake draw up until now.

Exactly. I need to hope Serenas serve is a bit off in the 3rd set, to have a shot. I saw the match as 60/40 serena coming in. The odds were a bit off imo so i took a stab

Yeah it's tough because it depends whether the opponent (the ones who are capable) show up

It's at the point where Halep is looking the fitter out of the two and moving better. She was trading at a touch over +100 before but it's probably not worth it as much now

Serena's basically been relying on nailing that first serve making it borderline unhittable because she knows Halep can attack the second serve or if she guesses right on a weaker first serve.

Basically Halep can win if she doesnt have a brainfart service game, more of a mental battle for her now because physically she's better.

Thats too bad Halep wasted that 1st set.... she was just starting to get into the match when she faultered a bit. I dont see anyone stopping Serena now.
