The odds are pretty much even, and it may looks like a surprising pick given how poor Roger was two days ago, but that's a surface he likes, while Dominic Thiem has a very bad record at this tournament. I just cannot see Fed losing on this surface, so why not in straight sets.

Also, Roger is 15-0 in second RR matches at the World Tour Finals.
