I am going to run to McDonald's and get some quick breakfast, however. Shouldn't miss any points as I see start time around the :15 of the hour.

Soderling the "machine playing with nothing to lose" that the entire forum saw such value in to doublefaults into a break start the match.

Soderling the "machine with no pressure" that everyone loved has yet to get a first serve in, and doublefaulted into a break to begin the game. Fed looking like he'll steamroll.

Yeah, and Federer held with easy.
When Fed gets his foot on someone's throat, it is over. Soderling is looking shaky.

Reckon people might be second-guessing their decision to entrust a guy that's never advanced past the 3rd round in a major to beat a 13 time Slam champion in the RG Finals?
Federer 3-0 (no pun intended, since that will also be the outcome of the match)

Federer is up 4-0.
How's this one? Federer(4) has more games than Soderling (3) has points right now.

Remember, Sod was 2-0 up on Gonzo, choked two sets away at the end of both, then was almost 1-5 down in the third, looked dead and buried. Suddenly woke up and won 5 games in a row to win the match.
Fed isn't exactly a model of consistency this tournament either (although he's usually pretty good as a frontrunner).

Hee....I agree Federer has looked shaky, but it has been when he started slow. And I think there is a large difference between say...Gonzo and Federer.
When Federer gets up on an opp, it is usually over.

I agree HeeeHAWWWW but as you know I stated this was a total mismatch all weekend as you saw, so I deserve to relish in the moment of the match going as I forecasted.

Don't get me wrong, pretty sure Fed wins.
However, Fed did screw up final set vs Potro, got his break, then gave it back. There's also the nerves of the occasion - that clearly affected him against Haas, straight after Nadal went out. Will that hit at some point here? I've no idea.
So far it's all Soderling errors, and poor first serve. Doubt that level continues.

Hrrrm, not sure who to cheer. 3-0 I break even, 3-1 I make a ton, 3-2 I lose a fair bit.
Hate watching matches with a mixed batch of bets on :-)

The Soderling forum backers getting a little snappy in other threads, don't really blame them.

Difficult conditions for Soderling these - damp and slow, and particularly the wind hurts a flat hitter.
Not sure if a rain break might help or hurt him. He's back in the match a bit, but later might be less windy.

I still feel violated by that yahoo who ran on the court. How dare he interrupt my enjoyment of this broadcast and make me feel bad for Federer?

I couldn't sleep last night. I gave up around 9:20 and started watching at 4-0 Federer in the first set. Pathetic job by security in not getting the red guy faster.

IMO the conditions are now unplayable, they've got to stop after this set.
