Back again, friends. Can't guarantee I'll be able to post all of my plays in here but I'll do my best.
BET ONE - BET365 - ONE STAKE
Francis Tiafoe -2.5 games - $1.8
BET TWO - SPORTSBET - ONE STAKE
Rafael Nadal -8.5 games - $1.83
BET THREE - CROWNBET - ONE STAKE
Mott/Gasquet UNDER 29 games - $1.87
This might surprise you because I'm actually backing another Aussie down below to cover his line, but fading Mott in this bet. It all comes down to the situation and opponent. Gasquet is light-years ahead of Ferrer at this point, so backing him to cover a big spread is easier to do.
Mott is solid, but really that's it. Gasquet is simply better in every department, has the baseline game to completely overwhelm the young Australian.
BET FOUR - BET365 - TWO STAKES
Joao Sousa to WIN - $1.6
Tailing the SBR writer on this one. I'm not going to re-write his writeup so if you want to see a reason why we're taking this, head on over and read it.
BET FIVE - CROWNBET - ONE STAKE
Omar Jasika +7.5 games - $1.9
BET SIX - BET365 - HALF STAKE
Jasika to WIN - $6
We finally have to accept, however sad, that Ferrer is fading, and fast. He's now 23rd in the world, and will most likely slump lower this year unless something drastic happens. He's defensive ability is still strong, but he's lost a lot of offensive power, and that's hurting him because he can't put opponents away. He still grinds and grinds and gets everything back, but his opponents can just play attacking shot after attacking shot because Ferrer's shots aren't as deep and well placed.
Jasika is a young Aussie that hasn't really lived up to expections so far. He does put in very spirited performances in front of home crowds, however, and backing his spread is never a bad idea. He has a really quick serve and forehand, and I think he can put enough pressure on Ferrer to elicit a few errors. I think Jasika covers comfortably, and it wouldn't surprise me to see him win this match outright.
Cheers!
