also then again this is qualifiers and he is the number 1 seed so he may hav heard inside word that someone pulled out of the main draw meaning he gets in as the lucky loser

but pretty sure they changed the lucky lose rule earlier this year to prevent players from tanking. instead of the top seed in the last qualifying round going through, they draw one out of the top 2 instead. not sure wat happens if 2 players withdraw from the main draw tho.
