    Thiem +130?
Can't believe Dominic is this big of an underdog...gotta take him with these odds, right? I mean, Mannarino isn't anything special...

The Thiem situation is a strange one. He played crap all year until Gulbis left the same coach. Gulbis in his interview mentioned it had nothing to do with Thiem for him leaving but in my opinion, he wouldn't have mentioned Thiem if there was actually nothing going on there. From what I do know is that Gulbis is a very competitive person who hates to lose and from what I've heard, Thiem has been beating him in practice sets more and more, whereas he use to almost lose every time.

Thiem is a better player than Mannarino but what has made Mannarino so good this year is that his unforced error rate is so low. He also returns well and keeps the ball on the court making you play extra shots to win. From what I've seen of Thiem is that his fitness is questionable at times and mentally he gets frustrated easily. I can see Thiem winning a close 1st set before submitting mentally and physically to Mannarino.

      Odds are good imo.
Both can win, but Mannarino is the one who plays better tennis, and got better chance of winning here.
Thiem is not playing something special lately. I had not watched him against Lopez. But i watched him against Schwartzman and Sock. Against Schwartzman, who is a clay player, he really had some difficulties.
Against Sock, he played careful and defensive, but Sock played like a predictable rooster. And slow surface gave all the advantage to Thiem.
Mananrino is a different type of player than both Sock and Schwartzman.
It will be really interesting to see how the young Austrian will play against him.
