Nadal has not looked impressive whatsoever this tournament. He was broken multiple times against Bellucci and was VERY shaky against Carreno Busta yesterday. Cuevas is playing the tennis of his life. He won in Sao Paulo last week and has steamrolled through this tournament so far. Yes, the one-handed backhand scares me, but this is a hot player playing a cold Rafa and a five game spread seems like a bit too much. So, I think Cuevas +5 games (at -130) is a very good play.

#3Was Cuevas fatigued in his last match?
This will be Cuevas's 8th match in a row. He played 8 games in a row when he won in Umag and played 2 matches in 1 day with qualifying, not to mention he played 5 matches right before that tournament too. In fact Cuevas has played much more match in a row before than just 8 so fatigue is not an issue.
Why does everyone always throw the dam tired or fatigued card out?Comment -

#4He certainly didn't seem fatigued against Montanes, winning 6-2, 6-2. After seeing Pliskova reach Dubai final after long run in Antwerp week before and Souza play so tight with Haider-Maurer today, I'm done playing the "fatigue card". With the long matches before his, Cuevas has even more time than normal to cover and the temperatures shouldn't be an issue at this time of night. Not buying it.Comment -

It has proven to be meaningless 90% of the time but that doesn't stop them from throwing away their money.Comment -

#12Going to be a lot of mad people at Cuevas. Needed that last service game to cover +5.5 and instead he blasts the ball towards the stands in every shot. Reminds me of Fognini foot faulting and double faulting on purpose in the last game a while back.Comment -

#13LMAO! Blew the 6th game of the third set on purpose. Cuevas hit the ball in the air three times. He just wanted to go to sleep. The game was over in like 30 secs.Comment -

#19Almost 3:30 am and crowd booing him despite the amount of effort he put in. I probably would've have blasted the ball into the stands as well but then again, I'm not a professional.Comment -

#20Unreal, I had him at +4.5 and figured he'd win at least two games! I've never seen a tour level player just give up like that...really pathetic.Comment
