i got to disagree, the way i see it, Serena was pre-priced to be a lesser favorite vs
Sharapova before the Keys match. Sharapova was going to be about +175 .. now
the odds have risen, surely not for a lack of performance on her part as she was near
flawless vs Makarova.
watched both matches completely last night.
to the casual, occasional tennis viewer, Keys may be a fresh new top talent and i realize
she will get better but it seems to me that too much is being hyped up about what she's done
this tournament.. she's still Madison Keys. she was playing through a bum thigh. Watching the
second set last night it was obvious the announcers were trying to put a lot of wow's and ooo's in
there when they didn't really belong. Truth is Serena played only fairly well, not on par with Maria's
performance. I am not impressed with the fact that Serena 7-6/6-2'd an injured Madison Keys.
There are at least 30 WTA players that can beat Madison Keys when she is healthy. She caught Kvitova
on an off night and beating Venus is nothing these days.

I have Sharapova to win since tournament began, not sure yet how i will hedge, but i will
because i won't be able to watch either final live. I won't be hedging with Serena ML. perhaps
with some parlays or Serena 2-1. If I could watch it live I wouldn't even hedge pre-match.

Pova has said her biggest issue is Serena's power & aggression causing her to overplay. That has led to poor serving which in turn gives her zero shot.

You can argue that Serena has not shown that same p & a consistently this year.To me, Pova has the serve to stick in it. She's shown it mostly this tournament. She has to stay within herself according to her own words. Question comes down to whether you think she can.

With all due respect to you and Pova, the biggest problem is that Serena is just a much better athlete/mover than Pova (kind of like Birdshit and Murray last night). Unless Serena makes a bunch of errors, I don't see her losing. I got Serena at -138 before her match yesterday but may add on.

Dude, Serena has just won the US Open. I do like Williams 2-0 @+115; but not enough to really pound it. Just too much winning history there; and Serena is also intimidating enough not to be bothered by Sharapova's sh.t. The crowd will also be overwhelmingly in favor of Serena. In fact, it is funny how Sharapova generates the biggest advertising revenue, yet she does not enjoy much of a crowd support and that started way before the start of the new Cold War. But then again, I have not seen Sharapova to serve so well and hit the ball so precisely in ages. And I was wrong with my last two leans so you might as well fade me.
