I think I have a theory how to win money in WTA. It is rather simple and has to do with human (men) emotions. It is not a secret that men are attracted to women. Therefore, when we deal with WTA and the player is very attractive (e.g. Wozniacki, Kirilenko), most times the common sense goes out of the window, and the testosterone kicks in, hence inflating the line on the good looking player. It especially true when you have an unfortunate looking WTA player (Kuznetsova, Schiavone) playing one of the beauties.
Look at today’s match up, most of the people on tennisinsight.com were picking Wozniacki over Kuznetsova, hell can you blame them. If I had to cheer for somebody in the match it would have been much easier to support Wozniacki. It changed the line from +110 to -105, here comes the big assumption on my part, the line changed only due to the Wozniacki good looks, if you buy into this assumption the rules are rather simple and can be applied to any match.
In the close match starting line 100 to 125, if line moving on the better looking player you play the opposite site. In the long run you have to make money, Darwin’s theory of evolution that is what I am banking on.
I have not decided yet if it applies to ATP tour as well.
