    Anderson
This is maybe the biggest choke job I have ever seen. For those who watched, have you seen a bigger one???

Yes. Cilic has choked worse and does it frequently.

For those who haven't... So we had 3 forehands in the net and an easy slam forehand in the net at 40-15 serving for the match. That was 4 points in a row. Then up 5-4 in TB Dimi falls down and hurts his ankle limping around, Kev puts two forehands wide and long. Then double faults to end the match. Unreal

watching him lose to de bakker in Atlanta was enough for me to be done with him for a long time. Hopefully you've learnt and move on without him.

In a nutshell. Also he broke back in the 2nd set and serving to go to a tie break and gets broken

It was terrible, but it was nowhere near the worst I've ever seen. In terms of the episodes zec mentions, maybe, but the match as a whole – no way.

biggest chokejob since Almagro in Australia 2013 when he served 3 times for the match and lost to Ferrer

Definitely up there for ATP level tennis.

Using Bet365 where there's almost a hundred games a day at lower levels, I see a lot of chokes daily. Lots of woman tennis where player is up 5-0, 5-1, or 5-2 and lose the set 7-5.

There was one lately between Savchuk and Pervak which was probably the worse I seen considering it was a reasonably high level tournament. Pervak wins first set 6-0 and up 4-0 second set ends up losing the set 7-6 and gets bagelled the 3rd set.

In WTA it happens a lot. Not Anderson missing a wide open court right at the net for the match

Yea WTA is a bit of a joke tbh.

In terms of ATP, was right up there. Granollers vs Thiem first encounter a few weeks ago was bad from Granollers. Would say worse then Anderson as it was a double break and had similar shots to finish the match.

I think you had to have watched this live to get a sense of how bad Anderson was today. By far his worse choke yet, but I've seen worse. Cilics career as a whole is the most pathetic choke there will ever be.

I didn't necessarily mean in terms of blowing the lead, there has been many bigger ones, but rather how crucial points at the end of the match were played. Easy shots missed even when the opponent was visibly hurt.. I don't remember seeing anything like that. Those 4 shots in a row still crack me up..

here's the excellent video that HC posted the link to directly above...

a sense of history puts things like this in perspective...

just remember that the last time these same two fellows met, in the Acapulco final...it was VERY similar (and at that time Kevin had just days earlier similarly lost another 3-set final that he had many chances to win--against Cilic...i know cuz i had a KA futures there and stupidly didn't buy out of it when i had the chance)...

KA's like Charlie Brown...and any strong-willed opponent he's up against is like Lucy holding the football...he's unfortunately hard-wired as a blockhead when the going gets tough

When Anderson got the mini break at 5-4 in the tie break, served an ace that was called let (Dimitrov already moved to receive at 6-4) I thought damn Anderson was a bad person in a previous life, only possible explanation
