On the surface Matosevic should win easily but Smyczek will be a very tough out tonight. Center court, big crowd, night match and Smyczek all but clinches direct acceptance with a win tonight. He made the second round of the Open last year where he had that tough 5 setter against Granollers. Those 90 points are very important to him.

Matosevic is playing only his second hard court match is ages and his second match in nearly a month while Smyzcek has been playing the US challenger circuit. Unless you think Matosevic is a real gamer and will go to war tonight I'd tread lightly.

Appreciate the insight. I definitely thought twice about the match when I saw it was the 8pm game, but I just don't like to over think things like that. Smyczek hasn't beaten anyone this year that makes me think he can take down Matosevic on hard. While Marinko has only lost to quality players this year. If Smyczek wins I'll be surprised but not shocked.
