I think with Groth, what was telling was not that he was poor on return against a huge server in Karlovic, but instead, that he himself was broken twice against a poor returner.

That tells you more about how he handled the situation (first SF) than it does about the match up. He crumbled and certainly didn't have a winning demeanor. Simple as that.

Cuevas At the moment is playing great tennis. He dispatched a tough player in Verdasco who was playing very good tennis this week. This is Cuevas 1st ever ATP Final he's facing Sousa who has played well this week. I expect some nerves from Cuevas but I see him getting the job done.

i believe the above hits. Agut has been playing great, you know he will give everything he has. Kuznetsov is a solid clay player, currently bidding for a spot at Hamburg. Kuznetsov lost to Elias at the French open but I believe he will try twice as hard not to lose today... Elias is too inconsistant, he can play well but he hasn't shown it of late.

Karlovic stood out to me early on. However after giving it some thought, I don't think smart money would be on either side.

I watched LU vs Karlovic and he beat Karlovic 3/4 tiebreakers because he knew where Karlovic would hit. I do like Hewitt myself

Lajovic ML + Delic +1.5 sets 1.95 x 5 units

Lajovic has played well on clay this year, he's proved that he can beat decent clay opponents... De Shepper has ok stats on clay but mostly vs challenger level opponents. I think the return game from Lajovic will prove to be too much for the serve dependant De Schepper.

Delic has been playing well lately. He's a tall Croatian that's young and has clay as his #1 surface. I believe he may win this match with Andujar if his 1st serve percentage is up. Andujar has been unreliable of late. He may win this match but I see Delic giving him a tough time. Andujar seems to come out of nowhere every now and again but he also plays down to his opponents. Looking for the +1.5 sets from Delic, hope it hits.

expect more of the unexpected tomorrow. There wasn't a lot of favorites who stood out too me.

Becareful with Golubev.even though Paire is injured, Golubev is a big mug on this surface.

Vessley should win tomorrow against Thiem... Then again this is Thiems best surface. It's been awhile between wins... It may just happen tomorrow.

Hit of miss last play today. I like this play. Kush Kush not on his best surface, I think he could even lose here. Ilhan has a decent serve, I think he can take a set. I expect bucanonon to win later with his serve. He's playing an opponent who hasn't had a lot of match time under his belt.

Now that I think about it, seemed like a stupid play. Andujar must be hungry after months of poor performances.
