I saw Paire play Gulubev, she was in the stands cheering him on after every game he won. She's pretty hot, I figured she would motivate him. I've never seen her at his matches befor. Paire also played great vs Giraldo... Ramos usually has only one speed... I figured Paire would be up for this match. I guess I was wrong

I'm on Ilhan as well. For me, it's that he has played Astana several years in a row with good results and the weather is retarded crazy there at times. Today being no exception with a ridiculous wind of 20 mph reportedly. My thought is Ilhan will be better suited to adjust his game to those conditions while Bozo having never played here before and on the short turnaround could struggle. If conditions were not a factor, I'd probably be more prone to go with Bozo due to his solid form on hard courts this season. It's not always that first match after the Final that gets them, often it seems it's match #2 the next week. Hopefully this time it's Match #1.

Agree with this. Weather was insane yesterday with players struggling just to hit the ball on normal returns and a lot of the players were 'moon balling' on purpose with the wind. Also the court seemed extremely slow for a hard court so players that adapt to these conditions will do well. Personally, I don't think anyone likes to play in wind or is use to playing in high winds so avoiding matches pre-game at Astana.
