Yeah it's pretty funny. Looks like all the books that are terrible at setting opening odds (Bwin, Bet365, Marathon,...) opened the line very low disregarding the fact that Kocevar actually beat Mektic in the last round of qualies. When Pinnacle opened their price some books just closed the line altogether and some had increased it massively.
Mektic was seeded first in qualifications and lost to Kocevar 7-6 in 3rd set in the last round. I'm sure that he already had the info that he will play the main draw no mather what happens. Kocevar is playing the tournament of his life in his home country, but I know him quite well and don't expect that his already poor ranking will improve drastically in the next couple of years. I think he has reached his limit at this tournament and can't beat Mektic twice + the price from William Hill is very generous.Comment -

They did not have the info. There was a possibility of one high seeded player withdrawing, but in the end he decided to play. Urbanija's withdrawal came out of nowhere. Still at this price I think it is valuable to go with Mektic, can't see Kocevar beat him twice. Price down to 1.53 at William Hill btw, but slowly rising at other books...

I don't know. Maybe it does hold some value. I caught bit of his match against Cipola and he was pretty solid. Haven't seen any Kocevar's matches though. So, I don't have enough info about this one and will probably just watch it, without making a bet. Good luck with your bets!Comment -
