Navarro Murdered my parlays... one more disastrous lady?
Mercifully the Germans gave me new life again.

Tomorrow I see no reason not to love Kvitova, who appears to be in marvelous form, as you say, against the elder Williams-- a legend in her own right, but one in decline, and for that very reason I cannot tell if I am getting a discount on the -200 to -250 price or inflation.

Anyone please weigh in with thoughts.

I do not see a big decline in Venus yet, I think she has been stable over the past year or so; and this one has a 3-setter written all over it. Yeah, Petra is looking good atm, but she has not really played any top-20 grass players yet. I think Venus might very well take a set. Plus, Petra likes to drop a set here and there: she has lots of ups and downs in her game. To sum up, I think Kvitova wins but it will not be a cakewalk.

there are better WTA plays coming up.

if you can wait till saturday, lisicki +170 over ivanovic looks good. ivanovic is in form but lisicki should rise to the occasion with her superior skill set.

you seem too worried about the line as opposed to the matchup. people seem to gravitate towards lines in the price range you mentioned because its not so chalky that you feel like a huge square but it still seems like a "solid favorite." dont worry about the line, worry about the value. the line is designed to generate balanced action on both sides; it isnt a barometer for how conservative the pick is.

Not really worried about the line itself so much as how I am worried that I feel like it is too small... typically a red flag. I can see this easily being a 3 setter but have difficulty imagining Venus coming out on top.

I'll say this though, that Navarro line WAS too small for an evidently good reason. Still not sure what happened.

Frugal I am glad you mentioned Cibby owning Lucie elsewhere thought... will look closer. She certainly owns her in the looks department.

I didn't see today's match, but Carla retired due to injury in Hertogenbosch a week ago.

I know she retired, but I wasn't convinced that was due to an actual injury, as several other of the higher-ranked ladies all retired on the same day, presumably in preparation for this tournament. Mayhaps hers was legitimate. Unfortunately I have no idea and it cost me.

Navarro's injury seemed legit at the time. Was having problems with her back and called for an injury time out but continued to play after so if she wanted to leave early, she wouldn't have come back on. Struggled after the injury time out though as she couldn't serve properly so ended up losing a bunch of games in a row before finally calling it quits.

Was good fading material this tourney cause thankfully I saw the match last week although she didn't actually looked that troubled with the injury this tourney.

Well I won't claim Petra didn't make me sweat, but the result was correct. Congrats on anyone who took Venus +1.5 sets, seemed like free money but I didn't have that available.

Definitely prefer the 6:30am EST matches for these wagers, worse than basketball for watching with decent money on it.
