    many many reasons

    1. bad line
    2. better bets available
^ the above two should b enough bt heres more if not convinced yet

    3. 2-2 H2H on clay with Hanescu winning lastest 2 (prob a little old to be highly relevant bt still is relevant)
    4. monfils retired twice in a row. last time after his doubles match
    5. monfils/paire in that doubles match was mucking around and didnt care if they won. thats pretty much wat the attitude of those 2 always r
    6. hanescu's form is much better

Those are all the cons and the only pro I can think of is that it is in Paris...

Main reason out of my list is that I don't think he's 100% fit or anywhere near. Didn't look like it in his latest match (doubles) and resulted in him retiring before his singles match even begun.

Will he be able to play 5 setters?

only reason of these odds are because monfils retired from Nice this week, he is injured.

I was about to hammer Monfils as well but this "injury" made me doubt.

But yeah otherwise no way Monfils would lose to hanescu at the french open.
