Darkhorse players to make a Quarterfinal at RG..
Obviously I wont be making any plays until the draws come out, but going from the to win futures prices you might be able to get an early handle on a good "To win Quarter" price

Here are the guys with the right draw..i.e..Not having Joker or Nadal in their quarter that would be worth a go.. Hence a possible hedge in the Quarter vs even someone way better such as a 2nd tier player like Tsonga, bird shit, murray, ferrer would be profitable..
    Kilizan...500-1 to win it..was 600-1 yesterday..guy is red hot and figure maybe 20-30-1 to win a q..

Bercloq..Beat bird shit in Portugal..figure better odds than Kilizan..35-40??

Giraldo...500-1 at 5 dimes..figure same as klizan or better.

    Rosol 1000-1..Clay court chops...Figure maybe 40-50-1 to win Q???

If Monaco win this week to regain form he is 1000-1 to win it but can see books dropping quarter price with a win

    Others...GG Lopez,delbonis,

Monaco looks really good in Dusseldorf, back to his best. Unseeded though, which makes things drastically harder.

Out of non-top-8 players, only Dimitrov and Nishi I think. Everybody else has as much of a chance as Davydenko.

Just takes a withdrawal or a lucky draw, or someone hitting form. For example....

                  2013 Robredo
                  2011 Chela and Fognini
                  2010 Youzhny (hopeless on clay)
                  2008 Gulbis (unknown youngster)
2007 Andreev (ranked 125 at the time), Moya (ranked 26), Canas (22)
2006 Benneteau (ranked 95, and never any good on clay), Ancic (12, but very much a fastcourt player)
                  2005 Hanescu (ranked 90th)

Youzhny hopeless on clay. Anyway, I misread the title, I thought it was about winning a quarter not making the quarters. It is indeed much easier to make it to the final eight and somebody like Kohli might have a decent chance.

Yeah hedging at a 30-1 shot vs someone not named nadal or joker would be profitable..

Yes, Youzhny is hopeless on clay, at least relative to other surfaces. Has little penetration on the surface, because he hits so flat, and his backhand's strike zone is below the waist. He can produce some competence if he's really interested, and can do some damage at the altitude events - not a coincidence his clay finals were at Gstaad, and three times at Munich (+ Stuttgart years ago, which used to play hot and quick).

Nishikori if 100% healthy, he was playing out of his mind during the clay season until the back injury hamper him.
