on paper this looks like a total mis match, mahut ranked 38th against a french unknown ranked in the 300's, i will go form though, and i love players that have to go through qualifying and win 3 matches at the tournament against a player who doesn't do well on clay, Mahut is 1-4 on clay this year and last year he was a terrible 1-6 including 2 losses to players in the 300's, vaisse who qualified this week beat ante pavic ranked 179, a ramos ranked 119 and sam querrey ranked 64, all three players i would say are better than mahut on clay, bottom line is mahut doesn't do well on clay i'm going with the hot hand
