Total game score 21.5+ games -111.11 = Total Win $18.70

    Camila Giorgi 3.5+ -111.11 = Total win $19.00

Yes my bet sizes are high for my bankroll at 10% but I feel very confident with these bets and normally bet bigger bet sizes when im not having a money management blackbook. Feel free to give me your opinion on both bets . Go easy as im new but if these bets up I will post more bets tonight for you guys.

if you are going to quote your price in American-style like -111.11, then you will need to clarify your bets in simple: risk $ _____to win (net, NOT gross) $ ______ format

the way you have it, it looks like the first bet should be
    *Bencic/Pavlyuchenkova, o21.5 at odds of -111.11 >>> risk 20.78 to win 18.70

but given your starting bank of $100 this looks crazy...so i figure the 18.70 must be the gross return (including stake), what you call "total win"...when you quote American-style odds, win always refers to net (ie. stake removed) return...

so it must be...hmmm, for this, switching to decimal would help... -111.11 is 1.900, so to get a gross payout of 18.70 at this price you need to risk 18.70 / 1.9 = 9.84...so, your first bet would more clearly be represented thusly

    *Bencic/Pavlyuchenkova, o21.5 at odds of -111.11 >>> risk 9.84 to win 8.86
(corresponding to a gross return of the 18.70 = 9.84 stake returned + 8.86 win)

similarly, your second bet should be stated thusly
    *Georgi +3.5 games at -111.11 >>> risk 10 to win 9

    __________

alternatively (= more simply), you can just state the odds and the risked amount...thus

    *Bencic/Pavlyuchenkova, o21.5 @ 1.90 (or -111.11, if you choose)>>>risk 9.84
    *Georgi +3.5 @1.90 (or -111.11, if you choose)>>>risk 10

from this, one can easily figure out the payout/win stuff on his own
*the decimal format (used generally in the tennis forum) is most convenient for this...
    >multiply the risk by the decimal odds and you have the gross payout (eg. 9.84 x 1.9 = 18.70)
    >multiply the risk by (the decimal odds -1) and you have the net payout (eg. 9.84 x 0.9 = 8.86)
    ______________

good luck on both picks, hope there are more...

and welcome to the tennis sub-forum!

for tennis forum, best way to state your play would be

bet description, @decimal-price, risk amount (in $ or units)

        Georgi +3.5, @1.9, $10 (Bet365)

(adding the book where you placed the play is optional but helpful)

so no need to use a converter for tennis/soccer forums where everyone's comfortable with the decimal format...

        congrats on the over!!!

Sorry for not enough analysis of my bets it was a rushed post I will try and put more into it. But yeah 2-2 feel free to trail guys

how long u been betting tennis?

was last night just a bit of positive variance...or are you sharp as a razor, and we should be enthusiastically tail-gating? tell us a bit about your betting-self...

let anybody who wants to follow along know what to expect...especially bet-sizes...you started out with two 10-unit bombs last night...in "percentage of latest (end of previous day's) bankroll" terms, can you tell us a an average risk-size...and state a minimum...and, most importantly, a maximum you'll never go over...

i'd suggest you keep your bets within a min-max range of of 1-10 units, and that you discipline yourself to firing the large-calibre bullets (anything "5" or over) sparingly

right now your new bankroll is 117.86 (congrats on a fast start!!!)...so your risk-amounts should be in "chunks" or "multiples" (ie. units) of $1.18

I've set aside a small roll for this project, so good luck, aus

Well im a very good sports bettor . I bet mostly on Soccer as that is my expertise. But I know alittle about tennis. the first two bets were 50/50 bets and got lucky Ive had many bets on Dominika and she has lost abit of money. So her competitor is decent on clay and thought dominka wouldnt cover that line. The other game thought it was going to be tight affair which it was so that was down. Then the lock of Warinka I was positive as I knew his big serve and huge ground strokes would blow riba out the water. Its like a NFL team Vs a College team.

Well 3 out 3 is good start.

I normally have a bankroll of $1000 to start of with but just got back from a holiday and only had $50 to put in Betfair and $50 to put in SportingBet so my bet sizes of 10 Units were so I could build my Bankroll to a decent 300 quickly where I can bet the average bet sizes of 2.5 units to 5 units. I was going to post more bets on here but didn't want to put more bets on after having a good night this is what im looking at the moment the ones that say push haven't played yet

cool, i just bookmarked your spreadsheet...so it'll be easier to follow along with your progress

i've never ever gotten comfortable with betting soccer...those damn draws are so maddening...and the pk's are so prohibitively priced...i end up saying fukkit...don't mind losing cuz i lose...but HATE it when i lose cuz i draw...if you've got it sussed out, i might tag along...

i know that the key is knowing which games are MUST WIN for teams...and which are merely CAN'T LOSE...but with all the various competitions teams are simultaneously involved in...unless you REALLY love the game (which i don't...soccer goals created in open play are among the most beautiful things in sport...it's just they happen too infrequently...that, and i can't stomach all the "playing up" to the referees for cards and penalties) you'll never be able to avoid those frustrating draws driven by lacklustre effort...but i'm happy to tail a true soccer-weenie with a good record of pulling $ from the market

                          Hey

Hey mate. Didnt know you guys could read that. That was nothing to worry about I just made the spreadsheet and it was all in american style and the totals didnt add up so in australia we deal with decimals so I found out how to put everything into decimals into the spreadsheet so I just rewrote all of them again.

better to NOT post your soccer picks here (keep this thread neat n' tidy for just the tennis plays...will be less confusing for the really sharp tennis sub-forum cats to comment on)

i'll get your soccer stuff off your sbr-sheet and/or chase you down in the soccer sub-forum...just tell me that you do pay attention to distinguishing between MUST WIN vs. DON'T WANNA LOSE motivational angles for the games you play...i don't mind putting down -0.5 or even -1 handicap bets on a team that's gonna go all out cuz they have to go all out...hate when they pussy out and take the "oh well" consolation draw...don't mind if they lose trying to win...but hate like hell when they either start out (or even decide mid-stream) to play to "not lose"...

anyhow, back to the tennis...good start on your project to get the roll to 300

remember, next plays will be to risk multiples of $1.18...adjusting the unit size after each card's result like this will grow the account faster on the hot runs (and reduce the "pullbacks" on the cold runs as well, by reducing the $-size of the units u'r losing until things heat up again)...

aussie, i just looked in on your sbr-sheet...congrats on your multi-sport blistering start...

you killed it especially in tennis, nailing three plays on Chardy at prices of 1.93, 3.23 and 8.8!

                                        see your bank is now at 190.77!...making tomorrow's 1% unit = $1.91

                                        take care
