My favourite Davis cup play for tomorrow

    Rosol is overrated

I definitely think Rosol can lose a set or 2 to Taro Daniel.
The Japanese is not very experienced and played a lot on clay lately but his hardcourt record is not bad at all.

    and yeah...Rosol is overrated.

I'm a huuuuge Taro Daniel fan. But he's out of his depth here on Indoor HC.

Btw he may be Japanese but he was born in the USA and lives in Spain. And it's not just a "played a lot on clay lately" thing.. the guy loves clay and has made no secret it's his favourite surface.

With Berdych out of action and Rosol given the opportunity to step up for his Country, expect him to come out more determined and less error prone than usual.

There are just some big ?? over Daniel on IHC imo.

I hear you. But I wouldn't be surprised to see him up his level. And Indoor Hard is already his best surface.

Rosol has travelled many times with the Davis Cup squad. He has played some dead rubbers.

Now, finally, what he has been waiting for - the chance to represent his Country in a LIVE rubber. We will see. I consider Rosol to have a tonne of talent, but like you said, the pea brain lets him down.

Fully focussed though he is a dangerous proposition on this surface.

Indeed, the surface worries me. Still, I don't know if it's a bad bet.

I'll take you on HC. I think it is.

*Edit. In other words I think the odds are correct.

Two sets in and Taro Daniel has played, by his standards, "very well" indeed.

In all seriousness Rosol is unrecognisable. Looks nothing like that Challenger player mug we so often see.

Anyway a high quality match. Davis Cup does rock!

Man your bets looking good here.

Taro Daniel is totally a star. Nishikori on the sidelines can't believe some of the shots he's pulling off. And the mental strength!

He and Kei could be a lethal pairing in years to come.

Taro deserve a lot of credit though. Imagine Ito, Sugita or Soeda playing here instead?

The Davis Cup Jap Cap will be learning a lesson here for sure.

                          Kei and Taro from hereskiis!
