sharapova took a set off Serena here last year. Sharapova also played a close match vs Serena in the first set in Brisbane this year. Both women were not in the best of form but sharapova has improved more that Serena has improved. Sharapova has also never won this tournament. It might be interesting today. She will definately need Serena to be Average today though
