Things I learned about 1000 tourneys that I plan to apply to Miami
    -everyone is motivated

-upsets that would not happen in a 3 out of 5 set match can/will happen(bird dick, nadal, wawa) in 2 out of 3 sets

-easiest money was the final stage of qualies

Please add anything or tell me if I'm wrong?!

I wouldn't be hammering the final stage of qualifying in any tournament, that's for sure.

Lucky loser rule will catch up to you. High profile withdrawals are made public, low profile or really late withdrawals will be known by the players and not the public. Plenty of players that know they have a lucky loser spot will lay an egg in final qualifying. This year I've even noticed a few retire in the final round of qualies and take the lucky loser spot in the main draw.

hey slug, why don't you extend this thread into (or spin off a new thread into) a

"learn even more shit as we go along" pickin' thread...

u can discuss ur leans/picks and the reasons behind them...

pickin' with a constant under-current of "what did we learn today"...and gradually add to/modify your starter list in post#1

R2 & R3 are the best for finding value in the lines, I would say. Definitely not the qualifications..

Guys who played a lot in Indian Wells might be tired and take an exit in early rounds.
