    Golubev - Smyczek
Line for Smyczek went from 1.80 to 1.28. Golubev has been playing well recently (2 wins in Davis Cup versus Goffin and Bemelmans, a Challenger title in Astana).

I went on Betfair and I think much more money has been bet on that game than on the other games of the Irving Challenger. However, I can't be sure, as this is the first time I am checking stuff on this site, could you confirm if that is the case?

I have already placed a half-unit bet on Golubev at 3.50 and checked all these details after that (newbie as I am). Could you guys tell me if this seems to be a fix or anything?

Amounts matched on Betfair are currently about 5-10 times the size of other 1:st round matches, but still only about 15k$, which isn't huge by any means. Odds movements are more indicative of a fix as well, so I'd say it's highly likely given the fact that Golubev is a confirmed match-fixer historically.

I would not bet a cent on that match.

Certain fix. Most bookies blocked the game. We will sit and enjoy the fixing

Lines never drop from 1.80 - 1.20 unless the books fear for a fix. Think about it. Your getting almost 3 times your money return when the rank differential would not suggest this.

Could be someone knows golubev is injured or sick or dealing with something personal. Doesn't always have to be a fix.

OK, seems to be a standard Russian scam then. Thanks a lot for the responses guys, I've learned my lesson.

ed: Wow, golubchik retired. So it may have been an injury concern after all.

                              Hater, be nice to Cappin.

He's had a hard life here at SBR.. I mean look at this thread where he posts a GOY ATL Braves RL then halfway through the game insists that he actually meant Braves RL at +1.5 -500 juice rather than the standard -1.5 RL when referring to a Baseball favorite.

Give the poor guy a break, it must be exhausting to spew this much bs for 5 years straight.

Sports betting and handicapping forum: discuss picks, odds, and predictions for upcoming games and results on latest bets.

I also see that he has a history of reporting anyone that does anything outside the rules of the forum. So crazy that he's an insistent troll bringing everyone on this forum down whenever he can then reports people when they have anything to say about it. Good fella.

I have plenty more gems from my Google fu skills! Remember Cappin, this will go on your permanent record!

unless he just had to get through a set for bets to stand

I always thought 1st set ML would be the easiest scam of all. Overlooked a lot as well

I was referring more to where bets get placed for possible fixes, most exchanges and a few of the big books grade after 1 set, whereas most of the candy books are match complete, (few exceptions play just ball served, HC's Ladbrokes one such)

not much liquidity or ability to get money down on 1st set betting
