I never throw darts, I only bet when I am confident. If they were men, I would bet $400 on Kudravtseva ML and may some be on over games too
Watched Kudravtseva in Pattaya, Doha and Dubai. She is pretty good for mediocre level players. I dont know if you are following doubles but she is rocking with Rodionova since 2013. She also plays good tennis in singles in 2014
Now, this game has a really good potential to be shitfest.But Babos has a 70% probability of shitting more than Kudravtseva for me. Kudravtseva does not have the best serve but she beats those mentally vulnerable players with her solid game and mental fortitude this year.
Of her two losses to Karolina Pliskova in Pattaya (where I was on Pliskova and won) and Sorana Cirstea in Doha (where I was on Kudravtseva ML as a dog an lost brutally), she lost the matches where her opponents saw @5 or @6 in the 3rd set. Actually Sorana Cirstea was @8
Babos is not on the same level with these 2, she does not have the serve power of these two. And Kudravtseva is mentally solid this year and has the winner mentality going on with her by mostly doubles wins and her wins in singles. I really liked her game against Bencic, Karolina Pliskova, Tomljanovic and Cirstea. She was consistent and dangerous. And if she did not mega-choke she should beat Cirstea
Finally, Babos is a bigger choker herself without a good serve and formwise is not close to where Kudravtseva is. I am 80% confident Kudravtseva will be succesful on doubles this week(but probably wont bet on it, dont like betting on doubles) but she plays solid in singles and Babos has the game Kudravtseva is superior on

I also like this and am going with Kudryavtseva. Also I know Babos is good on doubles, so an early loss in the qualifications won't leave her jobless in the tournament.

And Halep was the most impressive player last year winning 6 tournaments and had a break through win in Doha two weeks ago. So beating her in Fed Cup is pretty huge.

It was going to be a close one regardless of your above comment, it's the WTA it's expected. You failed to mention Halep was in the midst of a terrible bad patch of tennis with some of her early season losses and she was working on bringing a coach in.
Right now 2-2 in third on serve. Kudryavtseva was broken first game, broke right back, held, and had 4 BP's for 3-1 but couldn't convert. Quickly held at love for 3-2 though. It's a sweat!Comment -
The Halep win was what turned me off which is why I brought it up. And it wasn't that much of a bad patch. Mladenovic played out of her skin to beat Halep at home. And before that Halep made the QF's of the AO, and immediately after the Fed Cup match won Doha.
Hardly a "terrible bad patch" lol.
Quite frankly you don't beat a player like Halep (who would have been motivated playing for her Country) unless you've got some class.
