I saw both matches leading up to this and Halep dominated. Wonder what line will do- put half my bet on Halep now and will keep an eye on line. Anyone have any thoughts?

i don't know anything about WTA but from the few i know, Kerber = cow on a tennis court
remember she got her ass kicked by Pironkova who got a similar tennis to Halep

This is what Halep said after the Errani match:

"It was a difficult match. I couldn't prepare very well because I'm not 100% - I have an injury - and I can't run very well on the court," Halep said. "But I was very strong mentally and just wanted to focus on every point. She's a great player and comes back very well and runs very well, so I knew it was important to just stay aggressive and finish the points, and the match, as soon as I could."


Halep was asked to elaborate on the injury. "It's in my Achilles," she commented. "I feel pain, and when I'm running I feel it. I hope it isn't a very dangerous injury and that it will get better soon."

So maybe she made a miraculous recovery or took some pain killers but not sure if I'd wanna put a lot of money on an injured player.

I think she will have to run faster against Kerber but maybe less distance vs Errani if that makes sense. Too bad about the injury.

Ah the possible injury probably explains the fairly high odds for Kerber. Kerber can play great points and even sets but she is a choker: 1-3 last/this year in finals while Halep was 5-0. I still like Halep in this spot, but I am not sure I want to back her for more than a unit. Thanks for the info, poet.

Halep dropped from -130 to -115 at bookmaker. I am laying off this bet completely, given the injury. Kerber will make her run. I might put a small one on Halep 2-1 just for fun: if she last three sets she might win it.

The forces Halep will have to put on her Achilles will be greater against Kerber than Radwanska or Errani. I hope she pulls through though.
