Fognini is the ultimate head-case but Monaco is in very poor shape. We are down 0-3 H2H, so it is the day to close the gap.

When Fognini wants he plays A+ game. He is very consistent in groundstrokes.

Monaco was not as good as in 2013 compared to 2012 and he made a worse start in 2014. He is very tense in games, does not have the ideal mindset, and his service games are very shaky. He does not save many break points. He is not bad on clay but he lost so many games when he is 2-0 ahead and he lost too many tiebreaks when he is 1 or 2 mini breaks ahead, he is not very reliable.

As the clay season approaches, this will be a good game to test the waters for Fognini in front of a huge crowd
