I just need Stan da Man to win tonight for another big day with Li and Cibulkova already cashing.

Much as I like Berdych's game, Stan mental toughness will pull him through this match.

        Good luck everyone

Yeah. Love him and he's been playing phenomenally well. This is more a bet with my heart though. I'm sure others can give you 50 reasons why you should bet on the Berdbrain instead.

I think a lot of posters on this board knows that Berdych is my favorite player on the ATP from a thread I created over a year ago but Stan's play the last 12 months have simply been scintillating. When Djoker started to make that strong comeback in the fourth and fifth set last night, pretty much every player on this planet would have folded (yes even Nadal included on hardcourts).

What Stan showed me last night revealed me a lot about his character. This guy has become strong as a bull mentally the last 12 months and knows that he can beat anyone Djoker/Nadal included.

I don't know if many know about this but Stan sacrificed his family and marriage with his pregnant wife earlier this year to focus strictly on tennis. He moved out of his house and left his damn family for tennis!! He said the reasoning was because he only has a few years left and needs to make a mark in this game before it's too late.

Much props to this man to be in love with this game that much.

Stanimal, vamos. As you all probably know I am not that deep of a tennis connoisseur, but based on what I saw in their previous matches, I like Wawrinka a lot. Although, if it goes 5 sets his fatigue might become a big factor.

Stan the man for the win!!!

I'll be cheering him in tonight, just imagine a Fed vs Wawrinka final... Now that will be a promoters dream, wish Stan all the best tonight i really enjoy watching him at his craft.

Oh and Stan should'nt be too fatigued at all for tonight, remember thus far through the tournament he had 1 match that only lasted 1 set due to a retirement and he had a walk over coming into the 4th round.

                    Lets Go STAN

Thanks for the suggestion Quang but I've had a very nice run here at the Australian. I deposited $500 at the start of the tournament and if Stan wins tonight, I'll have over $11K. It won't be much of a big deal if he loses.

                      Thanks for the tip though

So you give props to a man who leaves his wife and newborn baby just to give his selfish ass the possibility that by being so self absorbed he will win a few more trophies, which he can hock in 10 years to help support his kid when after he's long forgotten and goes broke.

Amazing what some people consider lauding. You must be a loser too. Since that's the case, I just decided to bet Berdych. While I don't follow tennis too closely anymore, knowing you need this punk for a 3 team parlay is reason enough for me to bet the other way.

Ah, the Christian Right is in the house. What are doing on the gambling forum, family man ? Is this not it a sin too ? Or perhaps you just do not have a family and you just have an idealistic view of your future family life ? Judge not lest ye be judged.

PS your post is moronic on so many levels, hocking trophies, child support

He didnt leave his kid. He still supports her and plans to take care of her for the rest of her life. Problems with the wife that he didnt want distractions. You dont know the full story so you cannot make judgement's on another man's life. Plus you cannot pass on judgement for what you feel is more important in your life to another man.

                                To each his own.

Plus "hock in ten years to support his family"???? This man has enough money to support 10 families plus yours for a lifetime in career earnings and endorsements and will only get even more significant now.

You must truly be the uber idiot of the planet.

Wawrinka's return game is a real weakness. Let's hope Berdych will stop dropping bombs at some point soon.

Wawrinka's return game is solid. It's more like Berdych's serving is stout. That's his major strength. Even Nadal or Djoker cant stop Berdych's big serves when they go in.

Boom , first set in the books.

This match wont last as long even if it goes five sets. These guys are racing through the set due to their strong serves.
