My biggest bet of the tournament on Berdych -150 + Berdych -2.5 games against Ferrer
I've been waiting all tournament long to grab Berdych at a decent price and tonight is the night. I know that Ferrer holds the edge over Berdych in the head to head but Berdy is in incredible form right now. The Czech has yet to drop a set and his groundstrokes are looking very powerful with minimal errors at the moment. Berdych is intimated against only two players at the moment (Nadal & Djokovic) and against any of the other elite players, he won't be rattled on this surface.

If you've noticed, all the heavy topspin spaniards have bowed out now (except for Nadal of course since he's special) and Ferrer will be the next victim. This late in the tournament, you will need power to get past the quarters and Ferrer just doesnt have that in his game.

I like both the moneyline and the Berdych -2.5 games. I believe there will be a set here will Berdych will trump Ferrer by at least 3 games in one set while the Ferrer sets if he happens to win one, will be very tightly contested by Berdy due to his strong serve. This plays very nicely into the games spread.

I've had a nice Australian Open so far (up about 13 units) and will be putting maximum bets on the money line and spread. Look for Berdych to make his way into the semifinals this year at the Aussie Open.

    Best of Luck fellas

I agree. I took Berdych -2.5 games, -2.5 sets, and +2.5 sets at Heritage

Just fyi for Heritage bettors, be careful on the -2.5 line. Make sure it says "-2.5 games".

If it just says -2.5 , that is the set line. The -2.5 games line should be at -110. If you chose the -2.5/+340 line, that is the set line which i am not betting that one tonight.

With the seasoned bettors , its apparent but yes I agree, for the noob bettors it looks very misleading especially if you dont bet tennis daily. I emailed them before to simply just add in the word "sets" or "games" but to no success.

That's a decent bet but I still like the -2.5 games better just in case it goes five setter, you still have a good chance of winning if Berdych trumps Ferrer in one or two of those sets.

Here are my plays pending for the day. If Ivanovic comes through, it will set up a nice additional payout with the Berdych:

Not necessarily disagreeing with the play, as I think Berdych being such a big favourite (Now up to -160 and -3(-110)) over a player that has historically dominated him is pretty telling that he has more than a good chance of winning this match.

But... Berdych hasn't done anything noteworthy yet this year. De Schepper and Dzumhur are both crap, and Anderson is very one-dimensional with no ability to beat anyone with a decent return game, despite the #21 ranking. Berdych had, BY FAR, the easiest path to the QF among top players in this year's draw, so you need to take those wins lightly.

However the market says he's the guy tonight. Good luck.

Tonight will be more about how Berdych plays than Ferrer. If Berdych plays well like's he's been hitting all tournament, it wont matter how good Ferrer is , Berdych will prevail.

Berdy with the immediate break of Ferrer to start off the match 3-0.

Blowing Ferrer off the court with the power early on. The -2.5 spread line will look good if he can get a 6-2 type set here.

                                                  thanks for your tennis insight

i usually only show up for some tennis betting during the major opens

i remember sweating out Djokovic ML vs Wawrinka last year in this open... i played it just to pad my roll a little. i said i would never do it again lol

what's the play if you have one?
