I've been waiting all tournament long to grab Berdych at a decent price and tonight is the night. I know that Ferrer holds the edge over Berdych in the head to head but Berdy is in incredible form right now. The Czech has yet to drop a set and his groundstrokes are looking very powerful with minimal errors at the moment. Berdych is intimated against only two players at the moment (Nadal & Djokovic) and against any of the other elite players, he won't be rattled on this surface.
If you've noticed, all the heavy topspin spaniards have bowed out now (except for Nadal of course since he's special) and Ferrer will be the next victim. This late in the tournament, you will need power to get past the quarters and Ferrer just doesnt have that in his game.
I like both the moneyline and the Berdych -2.5 games. I believe there will be a set here will Berdych will trump Ferrer by at least 3 games in one set while the Ferrer sets if he happens to win one, will be very tightly contested by Berdy due to his strong serve. This plays very nicely into the games spread.
I've had a nice Australian Open so far (up about 13 units) and will be putting maximum bets on the money line and spread. Look for Berdych to make his way into the semifinals this year at the Aussie Open.
Best of Luck fellas
