Eugenie Bouchard (Can) ranked 31 vs Casey Dellaqcua (Aus) ranked 120
Ok so Casey Dellaqcua is having quite the tournament so far not dropping a set to fairly decent opposition in Zheng, Flipkens and Zvonareva. She has never made it to the quarter finals in a grand slam before with her best result being the 4th round in the Aus Open.
I don't Know much about Bouchard except for that she is young, seeded and this is her first grand slam. What are Bouchards major strengths as i have not been able to watch her play yet, is she prone to mental lapses or does she hit bombs from the baseline over powering her opponents?
Dellacqua is a grinder and does not posses any intimidating weapons but she is a clever tennis player who likes to prolong points and have her opponents generate an unforced error, she has experience on her side and is in the best physical shape of her career.
Does Dellacqua have a chance in this match or will Bouchard be too classy for the veteran Aussie? I will include both players tournaments stats in the next post. Perhaps Dellacqua to win a set may be the best play in this match up.
Also Dellacqua has played on Rod Laver and Hisense arena inn her last two matches whilst Bouchard has been battling the elements in the outside courts for all 3 of her matches. The atmosphere of Rod Laver with the whole crowd being behind the Aussie may get to the young Canadian
Thoughts?
