    Covered Courts FYI

ROD LAVER & HISENSE BOTH ALL HAVE ROOFS.

Those are the only ones where the heat won't be quite as large a factor, although when it's hella-hot ... even the inside courts can be hot if they kept the roofs open much at all.

    Enjoy.

Do the shut the roofs when it's hot? If so, how hot?

Extreme heat rules should pretty much be in place Tuesday-Friday according to the forecast. Honest opinion is they should be closed beginning this morning. At discretion of the ump for each match though. Problem with starting with them open is the conditions would actually be worse when they first close the roof + the time it would take for that and appropriate cooling.

Also was mistaken, Margaret Court will have a roof beginning next year. Does not have one now.

        Good reminder dude

Also, I would add that even with the roof closed, some of these courts get quite humid inside with all those people jammed packed in the stadium. This can slightly benefit big servers because the humidity gives the ball a higher bounce for guys with good kick serves like Isner/Berdych/Delpo.

So far they say you can suffer. Roofs open. 100 degrees and rising.
