Flipkens meets all the playing style of critera for that of which Ana struggles against. Ultra vatiety and this leads difficult for Ivanovic to find her groove and time on her forehand to act as dictator. Providing this will lead to the inviteability of errors stringing up and frustration taking over.

Flipkens leads the h2h and if look at Ivanoivc's h2h versus Radnwanska and then check to see how similar both Radwanska and Flipkens are interms of their playing style, you'll get to the same page I am on with this chapter.

Flipkens, poor version of Radwanska. (With a slightly better serve) but a version good enough to catch Ivanovic out here.

i saw ivanovic vs nara and in the opening games the serb got dominated by nara pretty badly.
after a deuce festival and lots of missed opportunities the japanese fell apart, made cheap errors and kind of gifted a struggling ivanovic a straight set yictory.
i haven't seen flipkens in a while and will catch up on her last 3 peformences in auckland later in the day to get an idea, but at first sight these 3.6 flipkens ML odds seems to be a late christmas gift.
everything above 3.00 is just crazy.

There's no way Flipkens doesn't get atleast a set, unless Ivanovic plays her very best tennis and times every forehand she hits with as best she can. It's too early in the season to expect a HOT Ivanovic (Not that kind of hot)... Flipkens was getting over the jubilation of reaching the wimbledon semi finals and tailed off slightly towards the end of last season and now refreshed, she posted some decent stats in her opening 3 matches..........

I agree here on Flipkens. I just dont see why Vegas holds Ana as such big favorite. Her glorydays are past her and i belive Flipkins will win many matches and also some wta tournaments this year. Ana seems to go to Q or Semi finals she does not have the power to reach the finals anymore. Im going big on Kirsten ML here.

It could be that Flipper gets hot just about the time she faces Ivanovic. I will make myself a nice sets bet 2-1 in favor of Ivanovic who's got just the chilly as in pepper temper I like in tennis.

Women's tennis is full of breaks, I wouldn't read into them. It's not about who can break serve, but who can get to 6 or 7 first by 2 clear games or more.

As far as Flipkens goes, she's not a big server and therefore will drop serves to lower ranked player's occasionally.

When it gets to a certain deccent level of tennis, player's don't beat player's based off talent, they beat them based of style.

If one style doesn't bode well against another, because it clashes, then the talent difference matters not. In Ivanovic's case here her talent cannot express itself, show itself.... or how shall I put it..... it can't show itself on the match as much as it can against other players. The style of this opponent just doesn't give it the opportunity to do so.

Ivanovic has no other way of playing, adjusting, adapting.... no plan B ... if she isn't getting a rythm on her shots then she's not doing what she's good at. Other words she likes pace, no pace balls = no no ... plus she's too one dimensional and needs forehadns preferably......
