I wonder if that is a hint that he may not win tomorrow because no way does Berdych even take a set. I wonder if the play is Ferrer 2-1 +515 or goes 3 sets for +160. Ferrer is too much of a professional to end any season like this.

I see this posted a lot of places, and I have 2 questions? 1: how is ending the tournament 0-3 unprofessional? 2: what makes you say Ferrer wouldn't do it?

Ferrer's incentive is the extra $150k he gets if he wins tomorrow. This wont be a walkover in any way but at least Wawa is playing for a spot in the semis

I can see the logic of Ferrer not wanting to finish with winning a set and Wawa is susceptible to mental letdowns so he can gift a set (or even two). That being said, Ferrer just looked very shaky at best against Berdman.

Ferrer's dead tired after 7 weeks on the road, really showed in his previous match. Stan the man has everything to play for, win and he's almost guaranteed a spot in the knock out rounds.

Initially I thought that there's a chance Nadal might let up against Berdych as he's already qualified but I noticed the undefeated champion $$$ and I think that's incentive enough for him to play a proper game. Not like Nadal doesn't always give his 100%, but u never know. 2-0 Nadal seems about right, Berdych has never actually managed to figure Nadal out.
