To Monfils credit he played a great match, everytime the match would seemingly play in to Federer's hands he'd cause an unforced error. In the past too Federer would have made some of those easy winners that he missed. And Monfils first-serve was much better. Federer looks like he's lost confidence, after he won that 2nd set yesterday I thought he would take over set 3...

Monfilis was a beast last night. No joke. Sure federer had enough unforced errors to make Isner look unstoppable but Monfilis played one hell of a match. He even coughed up that second set and still won.
