Her name would then revert to Sharapova after the end of the tournament, which begins next Monday.



The 26-year-old and her management team, IMG, are understood to have asked for the name change through the Supreme Court of Florida.



It is believed she would also attempt to wear the logo of her firm – a pair of red lips – on her outfit during the tournament, which she won in 2006.
