I like the verdasco value play much more than the roddick value play.

        EP36,

I still think it's more likely Vera wins, but crap happens. I think we'll see a 3 setter either way, so I'll take my chances on the dog here, one that has more experience on this stage.

        Boner,

I do too, but the way I see it is, I'm betting that the final will not be Nadal vs Fed. So I'm hoping to get lucky with one of the picks.

I know I outlined my Aussie Open picks at the beginning and showed that there has been a suprise finalist in the men's draw for damn near a decade, but I am having a difficult time believing Verdasco or Roddick has an edge to be that person here. Verdasco fitting the bill more so than Roddick. Both have awful head-2-head records vs. their opponents and while they are both playing perhaps their best tennis EVER, you can say the same for Nadal & Federer. I might stick to the women tonight personally, much better options there I believe.

i would not say that Roddick plays his best tennis ever, where is that wicked forehead of 2003, that is what i would like to see more. and he should stop pushinng the ball so much and be more agressive otherwise federer will eat him alive.

verdasco is more likely upset to me.

but i would not put a dime on either

Single - I guess I should rephrase what I said, Verdasco for sure I think is playing his best. Roddick in my opinion might have one of his best years since 2003. Yes, that is a bold statement in January, but he is in fantastic shape, looks hungry and can actual move around the court as well as most of his opponents now.

I think there's some value in Roddick. I haven't seen him play this well in a long time.

There would be some value imo, if Federer hadn't crushed Del Potro in the quarters. Plus, he would be able to catch up with Sampras' record of grand slam finals and he knows that, so chances that he plays like against Berdych are very very slim and without Federer struggeling I don't see any chance at all. I saw a very sharp Roddick in Paris, where he played outstanding...and what happened? He choked and lost to Tsonga. Can't see an upset happening at all, despite his improving his main weapon is his serve and Federer likes to play against big servers and asides from that Roddick doesn't have much to hurt him. There are bad match-ups and Federer is simply a bad match-up for Roddick

Federer 3-0 is available at Bodog for +105. This can be arbed pretty much anywhere but with a $200 limit it's probably better to straight unless you have a miniscule bankroll.

I actually not betting because I want Serena to win and do not want to bet against her. If she won this tourney it would be one of her best wins ever.

I wish they had Roddick-Federer now instead, but I understand that's not prime time in Melbourne. Unfortunately it means I miss that match.

Creditwagering tennis lines are just too juiced they got -900/+500. How can you bet into that? Even intertops has a better line than that and they're one of the worst.

Federer is -575 at The Greek. I think he'll win but not much value here.

I think theres great value in Federer. I read in the tennis section that someone has Roddick +1800 from when the line opened. Getting Federer now is a bargain compared to whatever was the opening line.
