I just switched out nieminen and took Tommy Haas -470 instead. I was also a little concerned with Nieminen. Hopefully all works out parlay is now Haas, Youzhny, Jankovic and Ivanovic.

Below the last entry from yesterday on his homepage...but Paire did the same, coming strait from the beach and won....:

Greetings from Montreal! It's nice to be back on the Tour again. I was told a couple of weeks ago that if everything goes perfect with my foot, I might be able to start competing from Montreal on and here I am. I already practiced tennis for a few days before flying here and the body felt fine.
I arrived to Montreal late on Wednesday and have practiced here since then. So far I haven't had any pain in my foot and elbow when I have been playing, I'm obviously very happy for that. Hopefully it stays that way. I still have to work a lot and do the rehab exercises every day to be able to stay healthy.
It always takes some time to get used to the tempo and playing points again after a longer break, that's why my game has been regularly better almost every day. Today I had the best practice here so far with Ferrer. You also can't ask much better practice partner than him because you have to do everything yourself, he hardly misses any shots.
Even though I played good tennis today, I won't set any expectations for me, I'm just extremely happy that I'm able to play 100% already here. My first round will be tomorrow against Peliwo, the promising young Canadian who had a very successful junior career, being number one in the world and winning Slams last year. I'm sure that he is able to play good tennis, especially here on his home court so I'll be well prepared. I will go out there with a lot of energy, I'll fight hard, try to do the right things and enjoy a lot that I'm back competing.
In the end I have to say again that it's just so nice to be able to play tennis again, it's such a good sport.
