Odds for Bautista-Agut to beat Ferrer dropped from +850 to +550.
I'm gonna lay couple of Units on Bautista to WIN..
Anyone with me???

This is an archetype sucker bet. You said it yourself: He's possibly affected by an injury so the odds HAVE GONE DOWN from +850 to +550 (crazy American odds).
Why would you make the bet when the odds have turned to shit!? :S
P.S. This entire post assumes you're misusing the word "lay" which I'm assuming you are.

I didn't like the way he played his last match. Ankle will hurt him, because he relies on his speed more than power.

You only bet when the odds are the worst??

Considering he hurt it fairly early in that match and then rolled late, doesn't seem like it hindered him much. Also might be getting extra rest as the rain likely means they aren't getting much in today and tomorrow calls for showers off and on too.

Getting a bit worried about our Quarter bets since DAVIIIIIIIID's last match but hopefully he's still got it. I mean at least looking at the competition is reassuring!
In other news: Djokobo to bagel Bobby-boy in 3:rd!? :O

Next time they offer those quarter odds again, I may take some Delpo to balance that bet. I still have a hard time not seeing one of them winning the quarter.

They won't meet before "the finals", will they?

Nope. Hence you could put yourself into a no-lose situation if the seeds hold. I would have taken some Delpo before, but wanted to see some match play for him since his form was blah coming in. Delppo gets what's left from Dimitrov/Zemlja and then Seppi or Nishikori to get into the 4th round. Ferrer still obviously has to get past Bautista-Agut first, but then it's Sijsling or Dodig. As soon as Kohlschreiber went out in this half, I really liked Ferrer's shot. Sijsling and Dodig have played well lately, but they have not gone against the ultimate grinder. I would feel good about that match-up either way. Need to see what the Delpo price is, cannot remember what it was before. I think maybe started just under +200. Probably down to +170ish maybe now?
He started just under +400 at one of the four books I use. Keep in mind Dimitrov or Japmaster could easily knock him out though, which is more than you can say about Dodig and BA, despite their recent runs of form. I'd be surprised if neither one of them gave him a match...

I don't think Dimitrov is knocking anyone out, he'll be lucky if he survives Zemlja. Delpo owns Nishikori and beat him twice on grass last year, including straights @ Wimbledon. Anything can happen obviously with these courts a little odd now, but I think he sets up well if his play stays even.

I think you are underestimating Griggs' and the Japmaster, but sure, Po'Mo is the clear favorite against either one.

I'll make you a small points bet than Dimitrov comes out and loses tomorrow. 50?

I really don't dabble in points. I have no idea how shit works or what they mean, but I did catch Griggs' @ evens with the current scoreline.
I know he's in "bad" physical shape, but so is Zemlja, isn't he?

Not sure about physical fitness at this point. I just know Dimitrov was not doing well in the rallies and was more or less staying in it with his serve, so having to come out cold and serve right away with the pressure of having to hold or lose ... could be big. May not matter. Could come out and smack four aces. Just a thought.

I placed my wager because the day's rest should favor Griggs'. Without it he was losing anyway. Now he has at least a 50 % chance. That's basically my reasoning.

Tell you what, I'll hand you 50 if Zemlja wins so long as it doesn't lock me into any real-world financial obligations.

Nah, just a silly joke about "going pro" for SBR. Just happy our dude Ferrer got through today. He needs to improve some to make me feel more comfortable.

He looked brilliant in patches today, but was still a bit inconsistent. It's positive how his ankle didn't seem to affect him very much, if at all.
