Well I should've seen this thread earlier. Gastão has been having troubles in his shoulder (or elbow, not sure) for quite some time now. He is far from what he was earlier in the season like someone mentioned, it was his first atp level grass match ever. Everyone here in Portugal was actually betting Dolgopolov, strange as it sounds. I still agree with the OPs idea so I stayed away from it, never bet Dolgopolov again since what he did to me in 2011.
