Ivanovic has reached the round of 16 or better in her last four Slams and put in a quarterfinal appearance at the 2012 US Open. But just putting up respectable results is no longer good enough for the former No. 1.“I always felt like I could get to the fourth round or quarterfinal of US Open and then I play a player who’s top 10 or top 5. Ivanovic is capable of playing really good tennis and has a good game when its working so I don't think the bet was wrong in theory, but its hard to predict when a player is going to have a bad day, especially in WTA. Ivanovic hit 9 double faults and 33 unforced errors today (mostly shots into the net), compared to just 5 UEs from Radwanska. In total today Radwanska won 72 points, so as a percentage, 45% of those points were unforced errors from Ivanovic.

Some of the shots she missed were embarassing, like the point Radwanska put through her legs chasing a lob, that was an easy put away but Ivanovic was in poor form.

It was a really disapointing performance, but that's the way it goes sometimes.
