Anyway, just seems that if i were a Prof player I would literally have to break my leg or have an on court heart attack to quit.I mean just for making the field you get 30,000 dollars plus, which is like winning an ATP 250 or making the final of 1.making the Round of 64 or 32 is like winning a ATP 500.Not to mention the rankings points which will pay dividends the rest of the season. Seems like a lack of fitness might be the problem more so than not. You can tell a players motivation and drive when you see this at the biggest $$ making tourneys like majors.

I would secretly be putting the IV in my arm on the change overs so I could keep playing the next 2 games. These mother fers retire like its nothing. Some injuries legit. Others, soft players. Lu has had ankle.foot problems for years. He gave the walkover with an ankle issue today. Tursunov had a leg problem coming in and strained his thigh today for his retirement.

they are adding a week. I think next year has the added week in between.

Maybe some players played too much lately (with the FO and then a grass tournament and then Wimbledon), and the surface was very bad in the first round. Several players were vocal about that.

the CS person wasted my time for 40 minutes. I finally asked for the person responsible for writing the rules on tennis. She transferred me to Tony. He agreed to refund the money.
