Guys, when would you hedge this Monfils Future?
    5/21/13 4:47pm $3.00 $3,000.00 Pending 5/24/13 5:00am Tennis ATP +100000 French Open - Gael Monfils*

    Let it ride...?

Green out every round until he plays Ferrer if he keeps winning?

I would make Gael a slight fav vs Robredo, a +150 dog vs Almagro, and the only guy left in his half as a big fav is Ferrer...

Next few days is going to be fun!

Think I have a real chance of making a good sized chunk here with only a 3.00 investment.

Ride it out a lil bit more. You need him to go at least two more rounds before you can make a decent profit. He's defending very well and serving is stout so you got a good chance.

    Best of Luck

I have him going out against Muggy in my contest and I'm not even too confident with him losing that one so I'd say let it ride. For a $3 investment there's no point giving yourself stress at this point yet. Maybe bet a small amount on Almagro if anything but you don't want to be chasing cash outside of your initial investment too early.

haha you know I love it! I just think you're in a pretty wicked position at the moment for such a small investment vs rate of return. You've watched me make the mistake of starting to protect myself too early so when I finally could green out there was way too much cash involved - way out of my comfort zone especially. Obviously I don't think he's going to win the whole thing but when you start to overthink it too early instead of just cheering your guy on you can find yourself in a spot of risking a lot more money than you imagined and for me that's uncomfortable. I've been wrong a million times before but I do think he gets through Robredo and makes it to Muggy (if he too makes it there). At that point it's anyone's match because we've seen Muggy collapse so many times. I just don't think risking money is worth it yet vs your initial bet.

I think we've brought this one up a few times. Small investments on a long odds prop, really the only hedge opp you get is if your play is in position to cash the prop. Otherwise, it makes little sense hedging.
