i like fognini but as a hedge i also like fognini and monfils both to win 2-0. have a feeling that whoever loses the first set will lay down and let the match go, rather than try to crawl back in and take it the distance, in recognition of the quality of the opponent. taking both 2-0 should yield about even money.

also like stakhovsky over querrey. querrey hasnt done anything on clay this year and will be looking ahead to the french to save his entire clay season in one swoop, which he has a chance to do as a seed. querrey has also been dealing with a pec injury which has affected his serve and possibly his forehand. hard for an american man to win on any surface when he is thinking about pulling the trigger on his serve and forehand.

for haase/isner, we should know early in the match whether isner is giving a full effort, which would allow him to beat a player of haase's caliber. if he isn't giving a full effort, but somehow wins the match anyway, time to fade him for the rest of the tournament.
