People have gotten real snippy in the Tennis forum in the last few months. Shari said it best in one of the STD threads where it degenerated into just a bunch of slop. This sub-forum along with probably the Soccer forum are two of the only ones that usually keeps from the Black Hole of Bullshit that most of the other SBR sub-forums have been for quite some time.

If you want to fight or go on a personal tirade/crusade against a poster - go to fukkin' Player's Talk or the Saloon where that is expected. Or take your monkey asses onto Skype and engage in a sensual chat session where you end it with both parties choking on baby oil.

You don't have to be good to post here (look at me). Jesus H. Christ, look around - no one here is immune to a losing streak. A losing month. A losing Summer. A losing year.

My own personal opinion, I enjoy everyone and their bullshit equally. Do I think some of you are total dipshit losers? Yes. Do I think that makes you better than me? Fukk no, because I am one of you.

But, I don't need to pull my balls out of my Incredible Hulk Underoos to show that my right nut is slightly larger than my left nut and that maybe I made $1.97 more than you did last week. And that Righty could take John Kruk & Lance Armstrong in the Testicle Olympics.

I presume most post here because we enjoy tennis on some level or enjoy the feeling that the epic WTA choke jobs give you when you're shredding your penis into a cheese grater ... I know I enjoy the latter.

Looked horrible and uninterested in the first set.

Falls behind by a break twice in the 2nd set..wakes up and Guido loses his serve.

Kubot goes up 4-2 in the 3rd and just stops playing. Tough to judge motivation the week before a major, but you would think he wouldn't have even gone through qualies if he didnt wanna be there. Very odd.

Well as the forum gets more popular, there's just no way to fully avoid trolls/shit talks.

Regardless of how 'peaceful' or 'calm' the forum was, its inevitable that this stuff would start and take place at some point - as is the case with any public forum. But we can't really complain because the Tennis section on SBR is surprisingly void of such trolls to a great extent, and the fact that we get such few bickering cases here is actually amazing. So if it happens from time to time, its not bad - could be alot worse as we see on the other sections of this site.

The problem I see is that's it's more of a crap shoot than normal. Effort is always a problem and a week before a slam it's even worse. These people don't wont to be extending much effort right before the slam. Especially the men. My opinion.

IMO, effort level every week is a question. So, I don't really see these tourneys that terribly different from any other 250 level tourneys that take place. In fact, I think you can look at some of the "names" who are entered in these ... and generally not think too hard about not playing against them. Certainly you can't just blindly say dogs win this week, but if you look at vets playing who have had piss poor campaigns to this point and might be playing someone who has a little motivation for being around this week ... be it trying to get some match play or a young buck looking to make some cash ... there are definitely some plays worth making IMO. But to each his own. It's like apples and oranges. Just how some only like playing favorites and some only like playing dogs. Nothing wrong with skipping this week, but certainly nothing wrong with going after it too.

As for SBR "personalities" - no one's bullshit really twists my balls. Same as real life for me. I don't have time to worry about anyone's bullshit, but my own.
