It's a very balanced match, definitely not a lock. They are very much alike players, would not be surprised if we see a 3rd set here. Shvedova's recent form is quite good whereas Flipkens lost me when she retired vs Goerges aka queen of mediocrity

Yeah I regret saying lock, but for the price I am getting on Flipkens I will take it, if Shvedova hadn't just beat Wozniacki yesterday it would be something like Flipkens -140.

I fade flipkens everytime I can and I have seen shvedova's match both against wozniacki and vinci and she played very well. Great serving (I guess vinci did not even have breakpoint throughout the entire match) and whenever she had slightest chance, she attacked immediately.

Those points you made are true still think Flipkens gets the win, we will see.

If they play their best tennis, Shvedova should win pretty handily.
Shvedova is a big server with powerful groundies while Flipkens is a lesser version of Vinci but Shvedova is prone to making silly UEs so you never know.

damn WTA tennis ... always best to hegde if posible when one of the players (Shvedova) is almost winning 2-0 and the odds for the other player (Flipkens) are @10

Shvedova injured herself when she was 4-3 up in the second and serving. Actually I'd expect her to close the match on the second.

Keep an eye on the injury list, she may not be fit enough for the next one. Unfortunately match was not televised so I'm not sure what kind of injury that was. She has long lasting problems with injuries recently
